The MSW Cometh
This afternoon, Monday, is my first visit from the MSW (Medical Social Worker); here’s to hoping she finds programs that I’m eligible for that I was not aware of before. It’s been a few years since I’ve applied for extra social service assistance over and above my Medicare and SS Disability. I do know that it’s become increasingly difficult and taxing for me to get around as I once did for errands: Metro bus and a lot of walking.
To be honest, ever since the medical crisis began on January 31, I’ve become terrified of going out on errands alone, frightened of having another episode like that one, conscious one moment, collapsed on the sidewalk the next.
Enough cash came through on Paypal Sunday eve to fetch dinner (chicken and pasta salad from Ralph’s) and to pick up my much-needed Lorazepam refill at CVS.
